With our Foundation activities, our intention is to bring about social change and shape the future. The EVZ Lab is a co-creative forum in the Academy for even more innovation, development, qualification and impact.
Thinking beyond our previous horizons, trying things out and breaking new ground - this is a particular concern at the EVZ Academy. We also aim to make our working methods more future-proof: diversity and discrimination-sensitive, participatory, transparent and digital. In the EVZ Lab, we work with partners and experts to find new ideas as well as innovative solutions. In this way, we develop future projects and programs. And more and more frequently, new alliances and collaborations are emerging from such co-creative development processes, which increase our impact many times over.

Future Lab Ukraine: From the idea to the new "YeMistechko" funding program
Despite the Russian war against Ukraine, the commitment of Ukrainian civil society is still alive today - both in the country itself and in exile. But what can the EVZ Foundation contribute to exploiting this potential for Ukraine's democratic future? The EVZ Foundation addressed this question at the beginning of July 2023 as part of a Future Lab. Together with experts from Ukrainian civil society, the EVZ Foundation addressed questions about the needs and challenges for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
It was nice to dream together about what a better future for Ukraine might look like. It has been a while since I laughed so much.
This resulted in creative ideas and visions, from which the Foundation developed a new funding program "YeMistechko" to turn identity-forming places such as museums or libraries in Ukraine into places of encounter where people can reshape their community life.
