Natalie Baruch is a Network Israel Fellow involved with ACHOTI, a feminist organization. She developed workshops on the perspectives of Mizrahi Jewish women in Israel and Muslim women in Germany. She tells us about the challenges after October 7 and how important it is to reimagine solidarity across borders.

The project has already held numerous workshops and events that appeal to different age groups and provide historical and personal insights into Nazi past in the Allgäu region. We asked Dr. Veronika Heilmannseder, among other things, to what extent creative approaches have helped to raise young people in particular to local Nazi history.

On August 2, Sinti and Roma communities in Auschwitz and at numerous locations across Ukraine commemorate the persecution and murder of around 500,000 Sinti and Roma during the Nazi era. Today, Roma in Ukraine are once again fighting for survival – also as soldiers on the front lines. Eleven additional self-organizations have received funding.
