EVZ Conversations!

Instrumentalization of history in the Ukrainian war – how do we deal with it?
An digital event format organized by the EVZ Academy expanded.

Alongside the acute humanitarian disaster in Ukraine and the existential repression of open civil society in Russia and Belarus, there is an additional threat – a massive and fundamental instrumentalization of history, the likes of which have not been witnessed since the end of World War II.

A debate is needed that informs, classifies and also questions how future memory work and history policy can and should respond to this massive instrumentalization of history. In our new format EVZ Conversations, we talk to representatives from institutions of memory work, history policy and science every two weeks.
