“FORMS AND METHODS OF SUPPORT FOR VICTIMS OF NAZI PERSECUTION IN POLAND AND GERMANY”
The Volunteer Centre in Zamość is organising an international conference on forms and methods of support for victims of Nazi persecution in Poland and Germany. The goal is to exchange experiences on challenges of work with and for Nazi victims in Poland and Germany, to promote networking, and to contribute to the sensitisation of society and policy makers to the plight of survivors. Since 2015, the Volunteer Centre has offered cultural and educational programmes as well as legal counselling for 80 Nazi victims and other senior citizens in the Zamość region. For the project, young volunteers also engage in intergenerational dialogue. Around 100 representatives of Polish and Germany organisations engaged in work with seniors, regional political actors, and state institutions are invited to the conference.
