Scholarships for young Jewish immigrants from the former Soviet Union in Germany

In cooperation with the Central Welfare Office of the Jews in Germany and the Jewish Agency for Israel, the Foundation "Remembrance, Responsibility and Future" issues calls for applications for the scholarship programme for young Jewish immigrants from the CIS states.

The programme is organised in the form of weekend seminars and study trips that run parallel to the course of study. It gives 150 participants each year the opportunity to learn more about Jewish religion and culture and German-Jewish history, and to individually define their relationship with the state of Israel. Participants are expected to take an active role in the design of the programme. In addition, 25 participants from each annual intake attend two additional seminars and are trained for work in Jewish communities and organisations in Germany.

The scholarship programme is scheduled to run for three years. Applications should be sent to the Central Welfare Office of the Jews in Germany and the Jewish Agency for Israel.
