The Foundation EVZ - ten years on

The Foundation will be celebrating its 10th anniversary on 2 August 2010. After the successful completion of payments to former forced labourers and other victims of National Socialism, the Foundation now supports international projects in the following areas

• A critical examination of history
• Working for human rights
• Commitment to the victims of National Socialism

Since the Foundation was created in 2000, a total of 1,960 projects have been implemented with 980 partners from 30 countries.

Call for applications

In its 10th year, the Foundation invites partners and project executing agencies to send in photographs that capture their vision of the tasks lying ahead. With the spotlight on the theme “Remembrance, Responsibility and Future”, we are looking for images that explore current issues and objectives:

• What challenges do we have to overcome today when we speak of joint responsibility? 
• What tasks lie before us in the light of our historical responsibility?
• Bearing in mind its mandate, what projects and what kind of activities should the Foundation support in the future?

Send us your photo from a project supported by the Foundation or any image illustrating the competition theme that will convey to us and to others how you see the future tasks of the Foundation.

Who can take part?

All partners and projects, jury members, experts, scholarship recipients or participants in programmes supported by the Foundation between 2000 and 2010 are invited to take part in the competition.

Your photographs can be submitted throughout the year but must be received by 30 June 2010 at the latest.
